CGU International Student 2025-2026 admission open from February 24 to April 18.Chang Gung University (CGU) is featured as the top 2 private university in Taiwan among the Taiwanese universities participated in “The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024”, published by QS on December 5, 2023. This year’s QS Sustainability Ranking comprised of indicators designed to measure a university's ability to tackle the world’s greatest environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges and featured 1,397 universities world-wide. In terms of the University Governance category (the “G” in the ESG), CGU is ranked 174 in the world, with the highest ranked performance indicators in Environmental Sustainability (World Rank 292), Equality (World Rank 425) and Health and Wellbeing (World 490). Earning this excellent rank indicates CGU's alumni and students are empowered to tackle the world’s greatest environmental, social and governance challenges. According to the QS ranking methodology, the QS Sustainability 2024 ranking looks for outwards evidence, from the impact that alumni are making in science and technology to solve climate issues, to the impact of research being done across the United Nation's 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs). The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 evaluates the social and environmental impact of universities both as an institution of education and research, as well as a major employer with the operational sustainability challenges of any large and complex organization. 2025 CGU Pre-med Enhancement Summer Program application opens!This program provided by Chang Gung University College of Medicine is designed for students who plan to apply for medical schools for an unique and enhanced learning experience and exposure to enhance the preparation for medicine. The program offers face-to- face introductory lectures of integrated basic medical sciences and experiences in simulation-based hands-on clinical skills as well as clinical shadowing in a large medical center. The clinical shadowing in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital provides clinical observation to comprehend various real-world clinical settings, and a clinical VR/3D printed object demonstration will also be included in this program. Students will also have the chance to learn about the knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine by virtual reality, preparation of herbal tea medicine according to individuals’ constitution, manual therapy (tui na,推拿), acupuncture, and modernized traditional pulse/tongue diagnosis.

Awards presented to scholars of Chang Gung University on the list of World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2022A team of experts from Stanford University published the list of "World’s Top 2% Scientists" in 2022. A total of 54 full-time faculties of Chang Gung University enter the list. The total number of World’s Top 2% Scientists from Chang Gung University exceeds many other universities, putting CGU in the seventh place among all universities nationwide and first among all domestic private universities. In comparison with 37 faculties on the list last year, our number this year has grown by 22%, surpassing National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, National Tsing Hua University, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. This achievement has reinforced Chang Gung University as a leading research university with a great global academic influence and outstanding scientific achievements. In order to recognize the outstanding performance of the scholars on the list, President Ming-Je Tang particularly presented trophies and certificates of recognition to the scholars in the university affairs meeting on the 22nd of December, 2022. President Tang praised the outstanding performance of the scholars. The awards include the "2021 World’s Top 2% Scientists and Career-long Achievement" (25 scholars), the “Career-long World’s Top 2% Scientists” (11 scholars), and the "2021 World's Top 2% Scientists" (18 scholars). 2022 Academic Exchange Speech EventOn December 9, 2022, this year’s academic exchange speech was conducted in the International Conference Hall of the Second Medical Science Building. The school invited Vice President Chih-Wei Yang to give guidance and Professor Po-Hsiang Tsui, dean of the Office of Research and Development, to preside over the event. Professor Sen-Yung Hsieh, Professor Cheng-Lung Ku, winners of the 2020 National Science and Technology Council Academic Research Award, Professor Ching-Chi Chi, Professor Min-Hsien Wu, Professor Wen-Hung Chung, winners of the 2021 National Science and Technology Council Academic Research Award, and Associate Professor Chung-Hsien Chaou, winner of the 2022 National Science and Technology Council Ta-You Wu Memorial Award gave their speeches respectively, sharing experiences on their research and award-winning topics with the school’s teachers and students.
