Chang Gung University is Recruiting a General Affairs Clerk

1.     Job Description:

(1)       Manage and maintain library spaces, facilities, and equipment, including routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, repair requests, and maintenance coordination.

(2)       Manage the Reading Center, lockers, library security, and access control.

(3)       Provide circulation and user services, including service desk duties and lost-and-found management.

(4)       Assist with general administration, library events and exhibitions, and other assigned duties.

2.     Work Location: Chang Gung University Library

3.     Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. (lunch break: 12:30–1:00 PM; flexible working hours subject to university regulations).

4.     Salary and Employment:

(1)      Approximately NT$39,230/month, subject to final approval. Estimated annual salary: NT$591,000 or above.

(2)       The successful candidate will initially be appointed on a contract basis. Upon successful completion of a one-year evaluation and training period, the candidate may be appointed as a regular General Affairs Clerk. Failure to pass the evaluation will result in termination of the contract.

(3)       Benefits are provided in accordance with CGU regulations, including applicable insurance, holiday and year-end bonuses, staff housing eligibility, free shuttle services, and medical benefits at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.

5.     Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher from a full-time degree program.

6.     Qualifications:

(1)      Proficient in Microsoft Office, computer applications, and web-based systems.

(2)      Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of facility equipment (e.g., printers and electrical/mechanical devices).

(3)      Strong communication, coordination, service, judgment, and problem-solving skills; responsible and detail-oriented.

7.     Application:

(1)      Current CGU General Affairs Clerks may apply for an internal transfer.

(2)      Current CGU contract staff and research assistants with at least two years of service are also eligible to apply.

(3)      Required documents:

a     Resume (with a photo)

b    Autobiography

c     Academic transcripts (undergraduate transcript for Bachelor’s degree holders; both undergraduate and graduate transcripts for Master’s degree holders)

d    Copy of diploma(s)

e     Consent letter from current supervisor

f      Work report and supporting evidence of achievements

g     Signed “Personal Information Collection Notification and Consent Form” (available from the CGU Office of Personnel website)

h    Other supporting documents, such as professional certifications, relevant work experience, and proof of English proficiency

B. External Applicants

(1)Required documents:

8.     Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a written test and interview. Other applicants will not be notified. Application materials will not be returned.
